چکیده

Beta-glucan in cereal crops is known as a functional food, which can reduce cardiovascular diseases by lowering blood cholesterol levels. However, beta-glucan content relatively low rice grains, despite being abundant barley and oat grains. Taking advantage of the staple food for Asians, increasing their consumption may help to cardiovascular-related among them. Previous attempts via transgene expression synthase genes from into were unsuccessful due use non-tissue specific well constitutively expressing promoter. The current transgenic study was performed characterise promoter gene using beta-glucuronidase (GUS) reporter gene. Two fragments HvCslF6 (2771 bp 1257 bp) successfully fused with GUS integrated plants, demonstrated that heterologous plant system. presence blue staining observed on leaf, root, stem, grain regardless length used stayed up next generation. qualitative analysis confirmed shorter generated stronger activity comparison longer one. This indicated repressor elements between -2771 -1257 regions. preliminary results shed light strong endosperm tissue. It become an alternative collection promoters be quality improvement biofortification.

Comparisons with the surface brightness of the galaxy are still hampered by uncertainties in the data for our own system. There may be no part of the galaxy which, seen from outside, would be as bright as the central portion of M 31. In the latter system ...

Expression of a P450 gene in barley (Hordeum vulgare)

A new member of the P450 gene family was identified in barley. The P450 gene was a member of the subfamily CYP72A. Northern analysis revealed that various CYP72A39 transcripts were found in four barley cultivars at a very early vegetative stage but no expression was detected at the reproduction stage. This suggested that this P450 gene may be involved in seedling development in barley. Comparis...

Sequence analysis of rice rubi3 promoter gene expression cassettes for improved transgene expression

In a construct containing aGUS reporter gene driven by the 50 regulatory elements from rubi3, expression was enhanced 4-fold when a 20-nucleotide (nt) GUS 50 untranslated sequence was replaced with 9 nt sequences derived from rubi30s second exon. The roles of the sequences immediately upstream from the GUS translation initiation codon, and their significance in gene expression, were investigate...

Lysine Catabolism in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).

Lysine catabolism in seedlings of barley (Hordeum vulgare L. var. Emir) was studied by direct injection of the following tracers into the endosperm of the seedlings: aspartic acid-3-(14)C, 2-aminoadipic acid-1-(14)C, saccharopine-(14)C, 2,6-diaminopimelic acid-1-(7)-(14)C, and lysine-1-(14)C. Labeled saccharopine was formed only after the administration of either labeled 2,6-diaminopimelic acid...
